Kiera Adegbite

Kiera is an experienced facilitator and trainer specialising in issues around sexual, gynaecological and reproductive as well as relationship health and has a particular interest and specialist knowledge around women and young people.
She has worked within a range of settings including the voluntary, education and statutory sectors. She is currently employed within two NHS posts in North/East and South London. She is currently the only Sexual Health Advisor within CHYPS-City & Hackney T PCT Young People's Services at their Choices N4 Clinic, the only specialist community based young people's walk in GUM clinic in London. She also works within the Forensic Medical Examination Service at what was London's first Sexual Assualt Referral Centre(SARC), The Haven at King's College Hospital, working with women, men and cildren who have experienced rape and sexxual assualt.
Kiera holds a BA(Hons)in African History and Yoruba from the School of Oriental and African Studies -(SOAS) and is continuing to develop her practise by taking a number of advanced level courses in Sexual Health from the Royal College of Nursing(RCN) and other associated institutions. She will also begin her formal training in Integrative Physchotherapy and Counselling this year.
Kiera continues to study Egyptian dance and other "traditional" dance forms and hopes to visit Egypt, Nigeria and Tobago throughout 2006 to further study other individual styles of movement. She enjoys adding to her skill base and interests and will also be learning the fine art of shoemaking this year.
Kiera's vision is to heal, educate, inform, empower and write. She not only strives to bring these qualities to the lives of others but also seeks to create and affirm them in her own life experience. Kiera continues to remain reflective at all times, this year she aims to invest in herself, her dreams and aspirations and her friends and familly.
